    Hi,

Apologies I know there are loads of these threads but each one is specific to each car I suppose.

Anyway, my question is: I have a 2004 Seat Ibiza due to be NCT'd again early next year, the problem is some d*ckhead went into the back of me last October and cracked my bumper at the back. There is a visible crack in it, will this cause me to fail the NCT?

    Thanks

    D

Are there any sharp edges sticking out from the crack?

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

Only if the crack has sharp edges that could hurt someone

Edit: beaten by Frankie Lee :)

Kind of I suppose, if you ran your finger along it I suppose it would be sharp, I'll post a pic to show you

I'll have to chase the guy who did it, have let him away with it so far :mad:

IMO its not fair to go after the guy who did it, You've left it too long.

Either way the bumper will have to be fixed at some stage so why don't you sand down the rough edges prior to the NCT?

He was to organise a friend of his who was supposedly a mechanic to look at the car but then alll the snow happened etc and stuff going on with me so car was the least of my worries. I will go after him if it causes me to fail, he promised me he would sort it for me. Note to self: ALWAYS call the guards!
