Recycling hangers

Ok so I've no idea what forum this should be in, but since this is to do with the environment I'll put it here. Can you recycle wire hangers? I have about 100 of them at home and don't like using them. Could I bring them to my drycleaners and see if they want them or could I put them in the green bin?
