i'd say a rane tbh, my mate is mad into scratchin and hip hop and he swears by them. bit pricey for the one he has, would get a djm 800 and some change but whatever your willing to pay. also pioneer djm 909 is up there imo of course, some1 on here might be able to tell ya for deffo, but thats what the likes of craze, qbert etc are using as far as i know, could be wrong tho :)

Yeah, I was thinking of the Rane TTM56s. I wouldn't be mad into scratching as such, but I do play hip hop/breaks, so I like the idea of having one. I like the look and layout of them as well, and would prefer one over a digital mixer.

Have you any idea what the eq's are like on them? Are the harsher than club mixers?

i really haven't a clue bout the eq's mate, i've never used my mates one. i'd imagine they're pretty solid tho considering the price ya'll pay for it.

    Second vote for the Rane.

I have a Rane 56, really like the feel of it. It's a few years old new but it still does the biz. Tried a vestax once but I don't like the chunky crossfader.

Ah, saw the eq question just now. On the 56 the EQ goes from +6 to a full kill.

I'm gonna say djm 909 as I have one, deadly scratch mixer with great effects,

for no effects i recommend djm 707 or rane ttm56

Apparently the fader on ranes takes a bit of getting used to because its alot shorter then most faders. If i had the cash id go with a 909 or a rane ttm57, purely because it works hand in hand with serato.. Also to have the option to cut and mix videos would be nice.

As i dont have the cash im going with a ecler nuo2.0 with an eternal fader. Im currently using a vestax pcm 05 mkIII and i hate the thing!
