hi, i am on JA and want to go down the country for a week or so for a break, last year i did the same in sep and informed ther dole that i was going for the stipulated period. do you have to wait for a full year before you can get another holiday break or could i take it a week or two earlier in august.
my question is do i have to wait a full year before i take another break which mean i clould not go till sep, or os it ok if it is within any particular year from say jan to dec.

do you need to provide evidence of when you're going and coming back or anything like that?

You shouldnt need to unless you are going for longer than 2 weeks. Tbh it would be up to the individual SW office.

Can you notify of holidays online?

my OH took a weeks "hoilday" from the jsa as he had a couple of interviews lined up in northern ireland recently.

We've got a 2 week holiday (booked from last year) coming up soon and i'm wondering now will he not be able to claim for one of the weeks because he already missed one week this year?
he didn't realise when going over for the interview that he was limited to the "holidays" you could take.

He will only be eligible for one weeks payment if he has already availed of one weeks holiday in the current year.
