Recommendation for a roomy oven?

Need to get a new single oven and want to get it right this time --- no more shoving in the Christmas turkey diagonally. The interior of my old Electrolux wasn't wide enough.

Are there particular brands that have wider interiors, or can anyone recommend a specific model they like?

They're all 600 mm wide so the only difference in capacity is going to be dependant on much space is taken up with insulation and the grill element. I'd suggest you get a measuring tape and go to any Harvey Norman or some of the larger Power City and DID showrooms and check out the display models.

    Thanks for your replies.

Yeah, Beko -- been doing a bit of research and see that they do a couple of models with larger capacities. Anyone know about the overall quality of Bekos, in general?

    Ya,that's irrelevant.

Good quality ovens for the price. Few service calls on them.

Sorry but it's not irrelevant, the question was...

The OP didn't ask specifically about about Beko ovens, but Beko in general and when the London Fire Brigade says that Beko fridges have caused 20 fires and one death in the past three years I think that is pretty relevant.

    My apologies.

The fridges in question were a number of frost free models sold over a period of a few years.
However, that would affect a very small number as at the time frost free fridges accounted for a tiny percentage of sales as they were so expensive.

Fast forward a few years: Beko are a better brand than Whirlpool or Zanussi nowadays, who have outsourced so much of their production that alot of their stuff is poor quality at higher prices.

Oh Jesus! We just HAD a fire --- that's why we're replacing our oven, amongst other smoke-damaged things.

(None of the appliances started the fire, though)

I'm so paranoid about fires right now I don't want to buy anything that isn't made of water :(
