    Hiya Folks,
I'm just wondering if anyone here has any advice on how to go about this?
I have seen lots of posts across the net saying its possible but apart from some advice(And a test .xml) I got from Pheonix over on WOS I've seen precious little on the how to!

Basically what I want to try is receiving say 9e and 10e via one LNB and from what I've read online its possible to receive 2 sats with upto a 2deg spread via one LNB after editing/merging the relevant .xml file.

So what I want to ask is has anyone here got similar running?
And apart from 9e/10e are there any other close orbital positions where this will work?

    Thanks Folks :)

I tried this earlier this week. Tried to get 9 and 10 on one lnb. Have setup in advanced lnb6 as 9deg and lnb 7 as 10deg east. {i only have 6 lnb}. When i done a scan on 10deg east I tuned in 15 channels. When i checked on flysat it turned out the 15 channels are from 7east and unwatchable. Must tweak my lnb a bit.

Givecredit, I used this file that was made for me by Phoenix over on WOS, it pulls the Data together on 1 LNB in disecq config rather than going into advanced and reassigning LNBs.
Feel free to give it a whirl.
What I'd really like in my case is some advice on how to incorporate this file into my existing .xml(Is it just a case of editing in excel and ftping it over?)
And whether there is more sat positions this trick can be used on?

For some reason Boards won't allow the upload, either as an .xml or a .rar! Let me if you want it and I will PM it to you.

Just to quickly answer my own question.....
Yes the .xml is editable in Excel, but I can't save the file in .xml format as the .xml map is not exportable????
    Dammit!

Sorted the editing issue by using Notepad++

Right, I was bored today and decided to try figure out this merge/edit trick!
And thanks to a lot of help and advice from a mod over on WOS, I've finally figured out how it works(Kinda :P )
    With thanks to Notepad++ ;)

    So for my own multiarm setup with LNBs at 9e 13e 16e 19e 23.5e and 28.2e I messed about with the .xml to merge 9e + 10e, 13e+14e and 19.2e + 20e!
The .xml works so far in that I still have all services I had previously and I will do a rescan overnight and see if I gain anything else from it :)
Not that I expect to receive much from 14e or 20e ;) Hahaha! But I just decided to keep going once I started the editing ;)

Well getting 9e and 10e seems tricky for some reason.....Even without moving the LNB 7e comes in much stronger than 10e even with the LNB pointed at 9e(For me anyways)
But I can pull in lots from 7e and 9e on the 1 LNB :D
I was previously getting 422 services on 9e but after editing the sats.xml to merge 7e,9e and 10e and rescanning I'm up to 602 on that LNB with a lot of the stronger 7e tp's(bbc persia and others booming in)
I may try tweak the LNB to point between the 2 and see what I can get.
Then I can decide if its worth keeping this setup or just choosing 1 of the 2 between 7e and 9e.

Any chance you could post your satellites.xml?

I tried just adding in the 7E and 10E to my 9E section (using Notepad2), but I don't get any extra channels when I scan.

Is it just a copy and paste, or do the transponders in the merged list need to be sorted by frequency?

On my list its just a copy and paste, Sorting the frequencies wouldn't really make a difference apart from a housekeeping/neatness standpoint.
All the listed TPs will still be scanned on a search either way you merge the file.
Attached is my most upto date .xml(as a .txt as boards won't allow .xml files upload)
