Well, to make a long story short. I had sex with my girlfriend. I came inside her.
She took the morning after pill another a stupid mistake we had in january. ... and here we are again making that same stupid mistake.

she got the pill from boots in jan.
Can she take another? ... or is it true you can only take "one" in life and thats it?

    thanks.

Morning after pill. Now. Sooner if possible. That's all you can do now. Go to the nearest chemist, get the morning after pill. And from now on, use contraception of some kind!

She can take another. What you are thinking of is that a woman should not take more than one per cycle.

The thing about making stupid mistakes is that usually you learn from them.

Prinz, less of the unnecessary sermonising please.

Keep your advice constructive or just don't post.

She can get the morning after pill, and it's 15 euro in all unicare pharmacies.

For the future, maybe think about her going on the injection or getting the implant or a coil, some form of contraception that doesn't have to be taken every day (as well as using condoms!). Then if you have a 'mistake' again, she should be safe.

Agreed. Go get the MAP asap, the sooner she takes it the more effective it is. You should both then go to a family planning clinic or GP and discuss long-term contraception options to be used in conjunction with condoms.

Really? Because I paid €45 a few weeks ago in Boots.

But OP, get the morning after pill. When I was there, they did ask for personal details, and whether I'd taken the MAP before, but there's no need to lie or feel ashamed. They just want all the details so they can advise you as best they can.
If you feel very shy, there's nothing stopping you giving a fake name/address anyway, but I see no need for you to do this, they will not be judgemental.

However, you should probably consider that you need an alternative form of contraception (the pharmacist will probably suggest this). Perhaps your gf should go on the pill? If you're having sex regularly and are prone to 'forgetting' condoms every now and then, its probably the safer option, if it suits you both.

You can, of course, get the morning after pill again btw. Its works as many times as necessary. However, its obviously best to keep taking it to a minimum. Its a lot of hormones to take in and is harsh on her body, but it will work.
    Good luck!

I think the price came down after they started supplying them in all chemists.
When boots were selling them at first it wasn't completely above board until a big deal was made of it and it became available everywhere, so then the price came down

Just 'cause a few people (OP included) asked -

The normal morning after pill costs between 40-50 euro from Boots and other chemists. It is between 75-89% effective depending on the time it is taken after sex.

The NEW morning after pill is only one hormone. It is up to 99% effective in the first 12 hours after unprotected sex and costs 15 euro from Unicare and as low as 10 euro in other chemists. It is called Norlevo, but can give an upset stomach so Motilium are a must with it. Had my first ever 'accident' with a broken condom last month so had to talk to a pharmacist and found all this out.

It would be more than wise to invest in more than one form of contraceptive. If you both forget or are too horned up to retreive a condom where's your backup? MAPs aren't something to plan on. Your girlfriend should also consider her own form of contraception.

you and your girlfriend need to learn about contraception. relying on the map is not a good idea.

All that aside we have all been there and got carried away with the passion but you need to learn from your mistakes.

I keep a few MAPs at home just for such an occasion.
Take it in the morning with coffee, no problemo.
Not great for one girl to take it too often though it can be harsh on her.
    Depends on the girl.
