    Hi,

Just wondering if anyone here has any experience, good or bad with Patrick Havelin Hairdressing? Preferably the Mullingar branch.

    This is their website http://www.patrickhavelinhairdressing.com/default.html

Would appreciate any reviews, experiences etc.

    Thanks. :)

Went to Patrick Havelin today and got my hair done, absolutely fantastic sevice, very helpful and friendly staff.

I had a wash, cut and blow dry, it was expensive, but definitely worth it.

Hi PB, sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I'm thinking about trying out Patrick Havelin's.

How expensive are you talking? Have you been back since and would you recommend?

    Hi,

For a wash, cut and blowdry it was €55 euros.

I haven't been back yet, but I am going back before Xmas.

Patrick himself cut my hair, before I booked an appointment with him though I went in and had a consultation and made sure I was 100% happy with him. I went in one a Thursday afternoon to book a consultation and he just did the consultation there and then, but you normally have to book as far as I know.

I found him very, very helpful. He went through various hair styles with me, explained how each one would look, how I should maintain it, etc. The consultation was about 30mins I think (it may be longer or shorter depending on what you want done though, all I wanted was a re-style cut, wash, blow cry).

While €55 is expensive I personally think it is worth it, knowing I am going to be happy with the cut and service etc. I hate paying to get my hair done and end up not being happy with the service/cut etc.

I would say definitely go in for a consulation (it's free) as it will give you clear idea of what Patrick is like, how good a stylist he is etc. Personally I would never go anywhere and get my hair done without having a consultation first.

I always make sure to book the actual hair appointment with whomever did my consultation.

There are obviously other stylists in the hair dressers but having never used them, I don't know what they are like.

I hope this helps you, feel free to ask any more questions etc.
