In Kilkenny there is Threads of Green on the Purcellsinch Industrial Estate. In Waterford there are two fabric shops close together, one on Barrack Street and another at the Barrack St end of Mayor's Walk.

It depends what you are looking for. I usually buy in the one in the Mayor's walk if it for occasion wear.

Ordering from fabric.com works out pretty good for something special.

Hickeys in the butlertown SC have the basics too and a few sewing supplies.

In Dublin, I love Murphy Sheehy.

Hickies has a terrible selection and is very expensive in my experience, if you were willing to travel I think Vibes and Scribes in Cork city is the best, amazing selection and the best value I've found in Ireland by a long shot.
