If you don't have the service history or know when it was last done then get it done asap....AFAIK it Should be done around the 60k miles. Well I got my 96 civic done at 62 & 120k.

The majority of older Japanese cars(civic included) run a 60k miles/100k kms or 5 year interval, so if your has never been done, your 21k and 9 years overdue:eek:

Unlikely the original belt would last that long, so it's probably already had at least one change.

    While on the subject,
    97 Civic EK2
    Engine D13

What would need to be changed ? Just the belt?
It has been done already but if it were only the belt then would be worth it.
