Moving Out - No final reading

    Hi guys
    Just wondering if you can help me, we recently moved house, the letting agent for the new house organised the ESB into my boyfriends name the day we moved in and she said that we would have to ring to cancel the account in the other house that is in his name and that we would need the meter reading from that house but the problem is we cant get into the meter box to get a reading, what can we do in this situation?

    Any help greatly appreciated!

    Hi ascuteasabutton,

    Where is the meter box located? It could be a case of the need for a key, which we could send out to you.
    Otherwise, access would need to be granted by the landlord or letting agency.
