Classic Insurance Driving Restrictions

We want to put our 17 year old on the classic insurance (Carole Nash) but they will not take him 'till he is 23.He has full licence. Is there any other classic insurance company who have different rules ? We were thinking of getting him "normal" insurance but using a classic car - would there be problems with this and what companies would we try ? There must be a way around it. We see young guys driving at the vintage runs all the time so someone must be insuring them!!

you dont have to have classic insurance. If someone will cover a classic on a normal policy, then you should have no problem getting the 17 yr covered . Gonna be expensive though, there is no backdoor to cheap insurance for youngsters.
