I have a leather pencil skirt that I absolutley love. Problem is finding a nice top that goes with it. I'm not into blouses because I think they're too officey looking. Anyone any ideas or any pictures of nice tops that might go with it. thanks for your help.

The world's your oyster really when it comes to matching something with a pencil skirt, even a leather one. Where would you be wearing it as that would dictate to some degree what you can wear with it.

You can go with casual blouses, even the right t-shirt can be matched with a leather pencil skirt. Below is I think a good example of a casual blouse that works well with a leather pencil skirt:

My automatic reaction was blouse OP as I think a blouse balances the leather - takes away any chance of going too goth or too fetish. There are some fab sheer blouses around that aren't too officey but have the shape that will balance. Otherwise would avoid anything too fitted, bit too 80s. You need a looser fit on top. I also like softer colours with leather, creams etc, the leather makes enough of a statement on its own.

Kintaro Hattori - not sure that's technically a blouse as blouses go, think a blouse needs buttons. I believe that is the highly technical term of womens' clothing: a top. Lovely skirt tho, for Mrs. KH (leather doesn't work for me other than jacket/coats).

Well I stand corrected. The world of women's clothing is intricate and complicated for a man, but I think it also illustrates my point in that the OP has a wealth of choice when it comes to pairing something with a leather skirt. A blouse, a top, even a t-shirt can work well depending on the item and how the person 'wears' it.

That skirt above is from Jaspar Conran and was bought in a charity shop which can often have some fantastic gems. Other than that have a look around the usual high street shops or have a browse on eBay which can have some fantastic bargains.

Sorry, not sure what happened my smiley, I meant to be a bit more 'tongue in cheek' about it!

Ive got one and usually wear a grey knitted polo with it in winter time or else a black lace bodysuit with a little string top underneath it.

I just love ladies in leather skirts! What goes best with a leather skirt? How about a leather waistcoat or a short leather jacket.
