Hey guys just a quick question,

My corollas clutch seems to have the bite very low on it, now and again the bite will change from higher to a point where i cant hold her on the clutch and accelerator on an incline, is this a sign that the clutch is on its way out or is it just because ive a 6 speed gearbox?

Sorry if its a moronic question but i just want to nip it in the bud if it is the start of something.

Clutch sounds dodgy. Number of gears is irrelevant.

Culprit might be the clutch/pressure plates (wear) or master/slave cylinders (hydraulics).

Engine oil should not matter. Hydraulic fluid might though.

I assume this too, but when my oil level was low in a previous Honda i own the clutches biting point was extremely short, this immediately went away when i topped up the oil.
