    might be a simple case of dust, should try dusting out the psu with a can of compressed air see if that makes a difference first.
    also cf with is indeed worth it if your planning to run a res that high and yes you can just use any other 6950 to pair up with it.

    i think this is actually one of these rare cases where dual gpu's is a necessary option and the only times i ever recommend dual gpu is when your looking to run high res or trip monitors like eyefinity because i do get some people with high budgets looking for a dual gpu set-up even tho there only running one 1920x1080 monitor... ¬.¬
