    Hi
Im thinking of buying a 07 or 08 nissan qashqai and have noticed a few of them have had 2-3 owners. I think this is alot of owners in 3-4 yrs. Does anyone know if the qashqai is any good. I was also looking at the skoda octavia 07-08 as well

    All feed back is appreciated

    Thanks
    Paul

Believe it or not there are still people out there with money who change their cars every 2 years. Heard no horror stories about the Qashqai, they are a good seller for Nissan though they seem to have peaked now that they have been around a number of years, still have good resale values second hand though especially the diesel models.

Just remember that the Qashqai isn't anymore roomier than a standard medium sized hatchback but they are still practical, the tall ground clearance and beefed up bumpers give them a deceptive SUV like appearance.

The Wife had a 10 D 1.5 Diesel a IT WAS THE PLUS 2 7 SEATER, not a bad car, only problem She had was the engine management light came on everytime it climbed a hill & everytime it hit 100 kmh, You will get great mpg out of the diesel ones, nice room in them too...

A lot of the petrol ones were pre-regged to the dealers.

Low mileage Diesels are in demand, maybe what's left Is the iffy stuff. Just keep eyes open for ones coming on the market

Also look in n.i (assuming there's any cars left up there!)

Paul, not sure what your usage will be. We were looking for a family car and thought the boot was too small for buggies etc. We much prefferred the skoda octavia the boot, especially on the lift back model was huge. If getting a skoda diesel 07/08 I think there's the 1.9 and 2.0 TDIs models, read up on known issues with injectors on the 2.0 models especially pre '08 for VW/Audi/Skoda.

Octavia is a lovely car. I would say you need to check the spec carefully, Skodas in paddy spec miss Aircon in many models - probably standard in the Nissan???

The Skoda boot was only bettered by a Saab 9-3 I had.
