hey Boardies, does anyone know if there's anywhere in Kerry that do a Compound Cut, Polish and Wax. My car paint is looking knackered and could do with freshening up.
could anyone hazard a guess on how much this would cost for a medium sized hatchback

I've posted this in the Kerry forum put its about as active as David Norris' presidential campaign.

would you have any interest in doing it yourself man? theres loads of how to's on many car forums that will show you eh.... how to. its one of the most rewarding things to do as well when your left with that amazing shine :D

that was my other thought too. You can buy a bottle of compound at Peevers for €20. I even wet sanded a neighbours van - very brave! ...after watching some vids on youtube.

If you want to do a nice job with little risk buy or borrow a dual action polisher with some polish with a bit of cut in it. Depending on how bad it is you may need to do a 1,2 or 3 step polish. Finish with a bit of wax and it will be like a new car.

TBH i thought the lads across from Mcdonalds just did washing and valeting.ill ask em.
as far as doing it myself..it looks straight forward enough once you use plenty of water and dont burn the paint.i dont have or know anyone with a proper mop for doing it.
i just sprayed and replaced a wing on the car by myself so im kinda all "self rewarded out":D

cheers though guys.il try those lads.
