Storage ideas for a small kitchen?

    Hi all,

I'm looking for some tips on storage in a very small kitchen. Cabinets are running in an L shape (integrated fridge/freezer in corner, followed by tall slimline larder unit, double press for sink, corner unit, stove then drawers.) That's literally all the presses we could fit in as we also have to put a table & chairs of some minute sort in :P
So storage is obviously going to be a major headache. What I'm looking for is the really nifty, "wow that is so cool!", "I would love to have that!" ideas that we all collect.
    Cheers in advance!

It's a bit far fetched of an idea!! But stay with me..

For the out of the ordinary storage presses etc, I found "stumble upon" plugin to be great. In case you don't know it, its an add-on for the browser Mozilla Firefox, google it for more info!

You can look for Furniture, and stumle through the pages.. I did it and bought an unbelieveably cool corner unit after some haggling! There is some amazing bits out there, mostly in europe and America!

    Give it a try..

Or when in doubt just Google it!!:)

Saw this video a while back, and thought of it in relation to your predicament.

Believe it or not, I've seen that video syco!!! lol There's another one in Singapore or Taiwan, he has a movie screen and everything in the ceiling! It would be ideal...but Himself doesn't like the look of it :( We're having a few disagreements. They usually end with me going "Exactly how much time are you planning on spending actually using the kitchen for anything other than eating in?!"
Re stumbleupon, good thinking Oliver!!! I've had a quick look before (and came up with the video syco has above and the one in singapore/Taiwan) but maybe putting in 'Furniture' might give better results!
    Cheers everyone! :)

When you say double-height, what do you mean? Two long presses on top of each other (presses running 30 high by 60 long as opposed to 60 high by 30 long)? Have seen it in place in friend's kitchen, wouldn't suit the style of house we have unfortunately. We do have the magic corner press though!

A pull-out table is very useful in a small kitchen design where space is a paramount concern. Additional racks on the upper part of the door, cabinets, extra rails, and so on, can be useful.
