Got my dish fixed and was thinking UPC vs Sky

I was with Sky and changed to UPC for the broadband phone and TV in one bill.

I have UPC TV in 3 rooms full pack plus movies not interested in sports.

Two HD plus boxes and a regular plus box.

    €79.84 per month.

I asked Sky for a quote for the same all Mixes plus the movies with two HD boxes.

€30 or €40 more expensive per month depending on how I haggled.

€15 charge for HD and €15 euro extra per additional room what a joke.

There are loads of channels on free to air satellite and using UPC for my subscription channels makes financial sense.

If I changed over to Sky for my sub channels I would still need a separate provider for my broadband and phone.

Sky being greedy has lost them my custom I pay UPC €80 per month for multi room TV.

Sky can not do me a deal for a similar price their loss.

I agree Sky has the better TV service but I think they are overpriced.

    Opinions?

I was thinking that however I have Sky Movies in 3 rooms with UPC as is.

Plus I am a geek and I have HD nature and wildlife in two rooms as is.

If Sky did not rub in the multi room and HD charges I would go for them.

I am use to having the full selection of channels in 3 rooms and I am not paying between €30 to €41 extra a month a possible €492 per year.

My TV costs €960 per year if Sky do not want this sum fine.

still be a bit less expensive to buy the series on Blu ray , blue planet, life on earth , etc..

still a lot to pay out just for tv though..
    anyway thats just me:D
you could still have freesat hd receivers for the usual channels.

(btw i pay a sub to sky each month)

Sky are soon dropping the mutiroom HD charge. So you pay for HD on one box you will have it on all your multiroom boxes.

I like my National Geographic stuff and she likes the Sky Movies going 100% free to air is not going to happen.

I would be shot if I bought a Blu ray series.:D
