image colour different on pc vs laptop

    Hi,
I just edited some pics in Photoshop on my PC and then copied them over to my laptop. When I look at the screens side by side the colour's different on the images (e.g. black&white photos turn up a bit bluer on the laptop, skin tone is pinker).

I looked around on line and a lot of people were talking about colour management. I had a look at the settings on both the pc and laptop and they both look the same.

    HELP!

Different screens reproduce signals differently, thats why the pros will spend €800 on a 22" while I'll spend under 200.

Generally laptop screens arent great, compared to decent desktop panels.

You need to color calibrate your monitor. If your a serious photographer, then this is necessary evil and expensive one.. If you're an amateur, and or don't want to spend the euro's then you're stuck with finding which monitor is closest to correct.

I'm an amateur, but have access to 5 screens at home so, I work on the one that I know is best.

In reality, I do most of my Post processing on my laptop.

Thanks, I'm trying to improve my photography and I'd obviously like to edit the shots so that they look their best. I've never noticed an issue with printing before but I'll be making sure to look a lot close from now on.

Buy a monitor calibration device, such as a Spyder.

Laptop colours will always differ from desktops, because if you change the angle of the screen, the colours shift slightly.
