If you are asking people to compare them, well I'm sorry to say they can't be compared

    Two totally different situations.

I'll open a thread later called 'Apples or Oranges (Poll)' and see if it last longer than this one

    Darren O'Sullivan's goal.
You see dozens of points like Cassidy's every year at club and intercounty level. Darren's goal was a once off. Also Cassidy had missed one or two from similar range so he had a few practice goes.

O'Sullivan's goal was stunning...however it came in the context of Kerry stuffing their opponents. They would have won regardless....

However Cassidy's point decide a match between two evenly matches teams and came at a time when the opponents couldn't recover....

    Cassidy all the way!

Yes but there are probably upwards of a hundred footballers in the country who could have scored Cassidys point, this can certainly not be said about O'Sullivans goal.

In the context of last weeks matches Cassidys was more significant obviously, but I know which oine will be remembered in 10 years time, just on a side note I actually thought Michael Murphy's monster free shortly before was a more impressive score than Cassidys.
