Alarm going off when Light switched on or off

    Hello

Can somebody help me , my alarm has never given any trouble but recently every now and again when it is not set and you switch an upstairs light on or off it can go off randomly.
The panel reads "P.A. Alarm" and "PA Bedroom". The only thing I could think off is the Panic Alarm in the Bedrooms but we never touch these and nothing is interfering with them. A light recently stopped working in one of the bedrooms maybe there is a fault in the wire?

After reading up a bit on common problems we changed the Battery in the panel box but it's still happening, maybe not as often but still happening.

The alarm is old, called the "Identifier" by Europlex Technologies, but it has always worked fine besides this problem.....

Any ideas? I cant find any similar complaints searching online really, it's definately somehow connected to the lights because it only happens when we turn on or off certain lights...

Not sure whether to call an electrician or an alarm company ( don't think the company who installed it still exist..)

Any advice would be greatly appreciated,

    Thanks,

    B.

Its more than likely the panic button is faulty.
Open it up and close off the connections across the contact. If that stops it activating replace the panic button.

I can concur and obviously if you have done that to one button and it is still happening, then short out the other one as well.

Just looks like a faulty reed switch in one of the Panic Buttons.
