Ok so got called for interview next week for a job i really want, been through a few selection stages and this is the last hurdle, the main questions i fall down on in previous interviews are, "tell me about yourself" and "what can you bring to this company", there both quite similar questions in the past i have tailored the "tell me about yourself" to be more of here is what i can give to your company, then when i get asked "what can you bring to this company" ive exhausted my options. Some background if it helps its a very large multi national telecoms company and the role is for a field based engineer. any help i would really appreciate it

i would recommend this book for helping. everyones answer is different as we all have unique skills but the book will give you an outline of what to say for various questions.
your local library would probably have it or something similiar. if not its in easons if you need it quick.

    Good luck with the interview.

For the "what can you bring to this company" question I always use my previous work achievements and throw in some good characteristics like 'I am an approachable, capable and reliable employee, in all my previous positions I have excelled and I can assure you I will make a valuable contribution to your company' this can then be backed up by previous achievements on your cv.

Words and phrases like the following:

I am friendly, outgoing, approachable ...
    I take direction easily
I am dedicated, reliable, responsible, efficient, effective, methodical, have a strong work ethic ...
I demonstrate sound judgement and always strive to be the best in all areas of my life/ I have the ability to see the overall picture.

When I was interviewing I wrote out answers to all the usual interview questions and added to them when I thought of better answers - as you will do during the day when your meant to be doing something else :D

You need to really brag about yourself and show confidence in your abilities. Best of luck with it.
