I have been asked to make a button wedding bouquet and am looking for florist wire, as the wire in craft shops is not really strong enough.

does anyone have any idea where i might get it cheap enough ? Florist suppliers are pretty expensive. would also prefer to see it rather then order online to make sure it is right.

    i am in dublin

    thanks

Have you checked in any of the jewellery supply shops for the wire that they have? There are varying strengths.. may be suitable.

Are you sure it's 28 guage you want? Florist wire is usually between 18 and 22 guage (the higher the number, the thinner the wire) . 28 is very fine and not particularly strong, although the strength would depend on the metal as well as the thickness.

yeah sorry, it was 18 i was looking for :o

anyway, got myself sorted in a place called Tip Top Florist Supplies in Dublin. They had everything i needed, shame the staff member was quite rude and uninterested
