    Harsh!

Happens to all these bloody "I've a sh*t job and I ain't got no money" type bands.

First Album: 10 songs about being on the dole/having a sh*t job. People relate. Sells 2 million copies. Everyone gets rich.

Second Album: We've a shed load of money in the bank............ now what?

    Obscurity that's what!

Also: First Album: People will relate. That makes you cool. That means NME will give you 8/10 review and a massive push.

Second Album: People don't relate anymore. NME call you "The uncoolest band in the world" and give you a one-word album review: "Blurgh". 1/10. Bye bye!

They were bland and unoriginal on their debut and god only knows what this album is going to sound like. I really don't know why this band is still going and how they're going to have any sort of relevancy in the year 2011.

I like this tune, don't like the lead singer's new look though!

I love their first album, I still put on "Hard to Beat". Never heard their 2nd album.

That 'No Cover Art' thing was just...I can't describe it.
And I had the pleasure of catching a snippet of an interview on MTV with the singer explaining the profound statement it made, which just made it worse.
    ARGH
First against the wall come the revolution. Good Charlotte too.

I blame the Manics and to a lesser extent Kinesis for these "my old man's a dust man" groups.

First album had some decent songs on it. "Hard To Beat", "Move On Now" and "Middle Eastern Holiday" are all pretty good.

They seem like one-trick ponies though. Didn't bother listening to the second album.

Not at all! Although both bands might've sang about situations from that particular "class", they were more social and political subjects they were about. And their songs were much less literal, whereas Hard Fi.... well, have you ever read the lyrics to Cash Machine? Jaysus!

Also, Kinesis rocked like a bastard live too! T'was a pity when they split

Not too shabby at all..much better than cash machines having no money or whatever that was about..an unfortunate resemblance to David Walliams notwithstanding..best thing they've done to date..

Guarantee it's people who live in music too much that despise Hard-Fi. Only like music thats 20+years old.

I personally had Stars of CCTV thought it was decent only album I even knew existed...

Don't like this song from first play. Might grow..

Nope, just people who don't like their music. After all, look at THIS poster who said he didn't like their new song

It's a music forum, populated - I'm sure - by music fans and Hard Fi write lyrics that are by most standards contrived, stupid and devoid of meaning, and musically they lack complexity, originality or intent.

They are not ticking any boxes, for me at least.

I'm not one to have a go at a persons taste but lets call a spade a spade.

Not at all, but what new ideas have Hard Fi brought to the table?

    Hard-Fi - making inoffensive offensive again :P

My brother used to listen to them back when their first album was released. From what I heard then, I shall avoid the band at all costs. Dodgy, lazy indie rock. Sometimes cynicism is the only solution that seems right.

Hard Fi have released a new album called "killer sounds" you can listen to the album free on rte website until 23 August tomorrow http://www.rte.ie/ten/2011/0818/hardfistream.html

Hard To Beat was a deadly song, that recent single is a pile of gash.

I seem to recall the first record having a really overproduced sound. Does nothing for the longevity of their music. Hard to Beat wasn't terrible.
