What are some comments you've heard people make that have made you lose all faith in mankind as a whole?

A neighbour of mine who's in private school was complaining about a guy in his class earlier today. He started with "There's this Paki cúnt in my class, he's from Bulgaria".

    /stops listening.

Idiots that tout the line "that's not normal" when ya suggest something that doesn't fall into the mainstream. What the fudge is "normal" anyway?

    It's the height of ignorance.

'Sitting on the sidelines, cribbing and moaning is a lost opportunity. I don't know how people who engage in that don't commit suicide because frankly the only thing that motivates me is being able to actively change something,'

Was working in a pub in London many years ago and the owner (Irish, thick as a plank) used to sit at the counter all day and make comments about anyone that came into the bar that wasn't white/Irish or British.
At that time Tiger Woods was becoming a household name and one particular evening a Major was on the TV and a couple of black fella's came in, seen him playing and started watching/discussing the golf. There then ensued a full hour of the owner saying things like, "FFS just cause there's a n*gger playing golf all these (insert anyone of another million racist terms) think they know golf" etc etc.
I died a little inside during those two months of working there, unfortunately i was too young and stupid to tell the fat fucker off.

Some pupils from a Gaelscoil were chatting in Irish (so the story goes) at the bus stop on the way home. Some scumbag walks up to them and says, "Go back to your own fooken country"

"God put man on earth, evolution is just a theory."

The fact a large chunk of the worlds population actually believe that makes me lose faith in humanity.

^^oh yeay, the athiests come out to play^^

Edit, i never had much faith in anything to begin with, so i havnt really lost it...

Pretty vulgar calling another human a "half breed".

You completely missed the point here i'm sure!

The fact that evolution deniers (I actually don't think many actually deny, they just have never looked into it before) think because the word "theory" is there that it is something that has just been thought up in the brain and has no proof is ridiculous! There are 2 different ways to use the word "theory". Evolution has been proven.

They might as well just say "The earth doesn't orbit the sun, after all, it's called the Heliocentric Theory"

some of them say that too!......but not for any good reason, just their own backwardness/stubbornness/literal religiousness etc
    .
    .

(looked at from another dimension..if that were possible..the earth may very well not appear to orbit the sun but they probably don't know that)

And if they do say that then they've lost the argument!

They might even come out with this old chestnut:

"Sure what do we know? People used to think the earth was flat!"

    Lazy. lazy people!

Forgot this in original post. My brother (who's 18) was in the sitting room with me when his friend arrived. They were going to a party later that evening. The father of the host of the party is in huge debt, and my brother informed his friend:

Brother: Did you know Ciaran's dad owes 51 million to NAMA?
Brother's friend: Who the fcuk is NAMA?

I saw part of a documentary about weapons where an American soldier was demonstrating a new type of machine gun. He was talking about how many rounds it had and the amount of people you could kill with it and then said "this is going to make life a lot easier".

''Did ya know that the main cause of cancer in Ireland is chicken? Being kept in those awful cages all day''

I've heard people say some seriously stupid stuff and normally i just let it slide but for this i had to make her understand how ridiculous a statement it actually was.
