    Forgive me, I'm sure there's a forum this topic is better suited for but trying to find anything on the forum list page makes my eyes, ears and anus bleed from frustration. Please move this if need be.

    Anyway, recently I finished a FAS course. I had to sign off for the period in which I was doing the course. On my last day FAS said that I need to bring my cert down to the social welfare office to prove I was finished and be signed back on,he also said I would be signed back on damn near instantly. Since I was signed off I changed addresses and live with my parents again, so I had to come back with all the stuff I need for the means test. I did everything that was required of me. That was a month ago now. I'm worried that with the means test and all I'm in for the long wait. Last time I signed on I was waiting like 6 months before anything arrived. If I do have to wait that long again I might as well just go ahead and shoot myself.

    What do you think? Am I gonna have to wait months upon months again even though I was already signed on?

    While you are waiting you need to go to the Community Welfare Officer at your local HSE office and apply for Supplementary Welfare payments to tide you over.
