    Where are you based?

Humphries Cycles in Finglas have just about the best reputation in the Dublin area

I think that Lumen had a wheel(s) repaired/built up by Holyboy (another boardsie & bike shop owner) recently and was happy with the job. You could drop Holyboy a PM with whatever questions you may have regarding the repair job.

They've re-built 2 Powertaps for me with no problems whatsoever and have had plenty of positive recommendations from other boardsies for wheelbuilding

+1 to Holyboy. His shop 'Bee Cycles' is on the south circular road, near Dolphins barn. He trued my wheels a while ago for €15 each. Great job.

MIne were definitely done in-house. They offer to re-tension the spokes after a week or so to avoid problems with them coming loose (which I believe is a common problem with re-builds)

It shouldn't be a problem if they're built right, but yes most wheel builders would suggest a check of spoke tension after a few weeks just in case!!

Good to know. Sounds as if it's quite near me. There aren't that many bike shops near Kilmainham that I know of.

also +1 to holyboy, good fast service and good prices, also in the blackhole for zero bike shops at that part of town
