Well lads! Strange one I know, but I'm wondering if there are any teams in the Roscommon or Westmeath region that train and play for recreation much like 5 a side.

I'd hardly call bottom tier club football any more skilful or difficult to play than five a side Sunday football so why not just join a club? Alot of the guys on that level aren't fretting about being competitive, it's just a bit of fun.

Yeah but the like of Clann and St. Brigids out my way would be fairly competitive. St Brigid making it to Croke park only to be beat by an Armagh team :( I'll have a look around and see.

Youre looking for Junior C football OP, only play for the laugh. Physical though!

I don't mind getting physical or playing the sport itself. Im just starting out so I don't think I'd be looking to play with the Kilkenny seniors :P

You'd have to be fairly good to be put on the senior team immediately! Every club have a few teams laying at different terms, I'm sure if you ask one of them they'll set you up, every club always wants more players.

So as long as I can catch and hold a ball, I'll be grand then? :P
