    Hey all,
Just need some advice regarding how much Im entitled to as im not sure weather social welfare are fobbing me off! I lost my job last october and was on the dole for 3 weeks until I got a fas course which lasted 9 months, anyways Ive completed the course and now have to go back on the dole:( cos no job as of yet!!

When I first went on the dole last year they were working it out that im entitled to 153.33 or summit like that at the time i didnt totally question it because I was so pissed off over loosing my job!! So now when I went down I asked more questions - firstly to give ye info about me im 23 will be 24 in 2 weeks time.. Ive worked since I was 16 and have never been on the dole since now:( They say for me to be entitled to the full amount I need to of been earning at least €300 per week and they are basing this on 2009, I was always paid monthly and my earning per week was variable so I dont know how there working out that I was earning €266 per week and im not entitled to the full amount because this.

why are they going off 2009 earnings anyways? in 2010 I was working heaps of hours and I also got a second job!! I live with my nanny so its not like shes earning anything. :( If anyone could shed some light on my situation as Im going down on wednesday for that stupid interview to sign back on properly and it would be great if you guys could tell me should I say summit bout it??

    Thanks for reading.... :o

    http://www.welfare.ie/EN/Schemes/JobseekerSupports/JobseekersBenefit/Pages/jb.aspx#Rates3

Above is the link to the rates paid on JSB. For a claim made in 2011 the rate is based on 2009. Your details re average weekly earnings will have been provided by Revenue to Social Welfare and are automatically uploaded to welfare data.
If you feel that your earnings in 2009 on average were €300 then bring your P60 for 2009 with you to SW.

thanks for information on this.. em well I cant find my P60 for 2009 do you think tax office could give me that information if I went up and asked them? I know that my amounts each week varied, like one week I could earn a lil less and others Id earn much more! like I was paid monthly so should they not base it on my monthly amount?? like they just seem like theyre out to get everyone, Ive worked for years and for was to be treated like ****e!! feel like id of been better of sitting at home doing SFA!!! grr!! sorry for rant!! they make me mad!!lol!!

The information SW has comes from Revenue. If you feel that the figure they have is incorrect I think you can get a statement from Revenue for your earnings in 2009.

Its not done on any one month your yearly earnings are divided by 52 to give average weekly earnings.
