    Hi all,

    Anyone aware of Trend toilets.

I have one of there toilets which I bought 3-4 years ago and the seat got broken recently. I bought a spare seat at the time because the shape of the toilet is kind of unique but the only problem is you cant access the hinges to tighten a bolt etc. As you look down you now just see two 16mm (guessing figure) holes. The toilet seat itself has two fixtures on it but they catch to the pan not by screws but by circular plastic fixtures. The hinge sets in woodies are threaded bar, lock nut for pan and hinge screws to the lid.
Is there any universal fittings like I describe or what are my options as Im seriously starting to think tec7 is my only option

i hope that makes sense :P

I think i understand your problem. Can you take a picture of the seat hindges and the toilet bowl.

In this situation the seat is normally fit from the top.

You just bought the wrong seat is all. Their is seats for these concealed pans, that you tighten from above, presumable the same as the one thats on it.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

No its the right seat alright its just the fixtures are missing that connect the seat to the pan and the fixtures from the last seat got chucked out, the problem is the way it works the generic hinges in the shops I have seen so far dont do the job.

I think I better take a picture like Joey said :)

Picture attached I hope this makes more sense.
Please excuse the silicone stains I havnt fully removed them yet, I had the house rented and when the tennants broke the seat they used silicone to try to fix it back, hopefully I dont have to go down the same route.

Go back and get the fixtures, they should have come with it. Am I missing something here

That seat doesn't look like the right one to me, that looks like the standard nut and bolt for a regular pan and not a concealed one. In saying that, from that photo it doesn't look like a concealed pan either.

I seem to be explaining it all wrong so ill start again

    A) The tenants broke the seat and fixtures to the pan
    B) The spare seat is the exact same seat as the original that came with the toilet and the original worked perfect.
    C) My problem is the spare seat is missing the connections to the pan
    D) Is it possible to get any hinges like it.
    E) It is 100% concealed

Thanks again for taking the time to answer

I dont think you will get top fix hinges to suit that seat.

Ofcourse all you have to do is buy a new seat with top fix hinges. Plenty to choose from now since the back to wall pans are so common.

Thats my second problem Davy the bowl is a very unusual oval shape. Thats why Im trying so hard to fix this seat.
I'll never buy anything to far from the norm again :(
