Seems to be getting cool here and humidity decreasing, just in time for the run :)

Rob from Whelworx (I'm assuming it's the same Rob Cummins) is going really well and looks like he's tracking a Kona spot.

Rob is going well and so is his wife! Still haven't actually seen JB yet!

The heat has really turned up now I'm afraid - THIS IS GOING TO BE TOUGH.

What relation is your sisters brother to you? :pac:

6:40 on the bike for JB

    6:57 for Aisling Coppinger

If they started in the same wave they were pretty similar for most of the bike.

Looks like Rob got a Kona slot.

Jackyback going steady in the marathon - fair play keep it up. Thru half way in about 1:48.

    El D's post:
Just saw Fran, looking great with 6 miles left. Nice cool breeze blowing now. He is in 'the pain cave' he says though. Com on JB!

Phone dying now so last report

Ha! My GF's bro I meant!!!

Bloody excellent result JB. Paced that perfectly

    JB just finished. Good man.
Sub 12. Fair play. He ran a 3:34:54 marathon. That's great running off the bike.

Fran in in just under 12hrs. Great result.

Folks thanks for the support it means a lot. I have never endured pain like that in my life, I literally buried myself in the run for the last 12k with the quads and hams shot to pieces to get the sub 12. It will make for an interesting race report but I am so happy with how I executed my A race :)
Having a quick celebratory pint and then heading back to meet El D to cheer on the final finishers.

Finally home after a whirlwind 48 hours. JB can stand tall and prions today after a fantasically executed race. Nutrition, hydration and pace spot on. After a far from ideal start you recovered and stuck to the plan. A pleasure to meet you dude, enjoy some downtime now dude :)
