    Hi. I brought these DVDs home from Aus:

    Unfortunately they won't work in my DVD player or laptop because they are region 4 :(
    I've searched eBay and amazon for region 2 versions - but to no avail. How can I get region 2 versions of these movies?

    It may be that your DVD player could be made to be region free. I am not sure of the legality of this so I cannot give you specific advice but you might find more about this if you google the make of your player with the words region free and find out.

    I'm going to try that - and if it doesn't work on my (rather old) DVD player then maybe I will try it with my laptop?? :)

    VLC Player allows you to play any region DVDs on your PC (unless you're using a Mac):

    Definitely the easiest way of watching multi-region DVDs. Alternatively, google the make and model of your DVD player and see if there's any regional workarounds - you'd be surprised how many players can be made region free by tapping in a simple code!
