    Hi all.
Looking to go to Malaga for a week, but really dont want to go to the main "lager lout" areas. Can anyone recommend some nice beaches in smaller villages that are close to Malaga?

    Thx.

We went to Duquesa last July, we stayed in a lovely apartment on the beach. During the week the beach was very very quiet, it got busier during the weekends but still quiet - we stayed in Marina Real apts.

Just back from that area, we were in a town called San Pedro de Alcantara not far from malaga, Beaches were nice and always really quite. Good restaraunts and beach bars with great food, No tourists at all really, just mainly locals, so ya know if they are eating and drinking there its good.

Linda vista beach was the main one we went, great spot for a relaxing day. No one at all to annoy you.
