    Is it DRM protected?

Is it an album you bought in itunes before itunes plus came in?

If so it will likely only play on your iPod/iPhone due to the DRM

Otherwise I use doubletwist, there is a free PC app and free android app

It's not drm no, it's a cd I ripped via iTunes. As I said, transfer made no prob, just won't read

Ok, well Desire S doesn't playback MP4 audio according to the product spec page

Do you still have the CD, you could rip it in another format. Actually can't you change the format to MP3 or AAC in iTunes.

Or you could use an App that supports this codec, there are loads in the Market -I've never used any of them
