It's his bulimia which baffles me.

Did he then tuck into what he'd thrown up?
Eating disorders can completely destroy people's lives so I'm not going to joke about his Bulimia.

These women are great role models but I wonder if they have children. I would imagine it must be extremely challengeing to juggle family and work life but maybe I'm wrong.

I think that Oliver Callan is technically much better at doing impressions but he could so with someone writing decent material for him.

Apparently they fell out as Oliver's Bertie impressions were better than Mario's and Oliver didn't get credit for his work on one of gift grub CDs (Allegedly, allegedly, allegedly :D:D)

Is it my imagination or did he seem a bit nervous at start of interview- seems very happy though.
    Miriam is too blonde,however,imo:(

    He genuinely is.

Often see him around Galway (don't know the man).

But he always has time for anyone he meets.

A genuine down to earth bloke.

Thats the first time I've seen his future missus, very happy for them both.

I say fair dues to Daithi for pulling a girl like that.

When you see someone like him punching well above their weight it gives you hope.

Lord and Lady Prescott.. have we introduced titles in the REPUBLIC OF IRELAND...

It's proper courtesy to use whatever titles a foreigner has been granted from their home country.

You would always introduce a Sheikh as 'Sheikh', even if they were no great Sheikhs :):):)

Rigth now it's fair to say she still looks like Liz Taylor..

That song is very similar to 'Galway Girl'

Can't wait for Calum Best to be on her great show, he's brilliant, sooo needed as a tonic to all our ills, the show is brilliant too, Miriam is the best, so joyful and positive, just what Ireland needs. Now I think I'll go away and puke into my lungs.

Yeah, seems they took the blueprint for "Galway Girl".. and moved a few chords left and right..

He doesnt do much on stage does he.. no dancing.. seems he just does a token walk around (trying to avoid tripping over the monitors)

It's music for 50-70 year olds to dance to, wouldn't do much for me.

That sort of thing is very popular with the old people ... they sell a huge amount of foreign holidays where you can see that of artist perform every night. That's the age group that still has cash in this country

The Air Corps girl wins. :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,718 ✭✭✭✭JonathanAnon

It didnt exactly look well (aesthetically) that all of the woman holding primary positions in the defence of the country are about a foot and a half shorter than Miriam.. On a positive note, if we're invaded by Lilliput, I think we have it covered..

I think the good looking pilot woman was on with Tubridy last year ??

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,873 ✭✭✭Skid

The set design is ridiculous ... two guests on one side, the third on another.

I think so, although they all look a bit too ICA.

The uniforms don't do a whole lot for them, could the army not sex up the Girlies uniforms a bit? :)

    Mario is dying here....

I think he's doing alright, but the audience must have been shipped in from the morgue..

Only a matter of time before Joe has him on the Funny Friday team

He has his back to the audience, never helps.

Its reasonably good, not his best performance.

His material is a little stale, but I much prefer him to Oliver Callan.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,718 ✭✭✭✭JonathanAnon

Mario certainly has talent... but I think he's infinitely better on studio recordings than he is live... Oliver Callan is much better at doing the impressions live, but his material is usually juvenile and very lowest common denominator.... They should have stayed together and worked as a team...
