I was wondering does UPC have red button capabilities, I have the old top box which is only the small one and I know there is an upgraded one out the last while. Now the box I have at the moment you cannot press the red button and get other features, my question is does the newer box allow you to do this or is this a feature for Sky Digital only?

Sky only, I'm afraid. The only red button functionality is on channel 100 and Euronews.

Ok thanks for the reply, would have rarely used it I'd say but just wondering as it would have been handy to have!

Saw it there on Euronews the other night. I'd rather they went for more channels and more HD channels rather than developing this feature, which I'd probably never use.

The red button is handy for when the likes off BBC stick stuff I'm into onto the red button as they've got something better to show.

On freeview and sky there are other channels on the red button.

just switched to upc and am gutted about the lack of red button on bbc.

Cant watch F1 practice sessions or F1 forum after the races.Cant even get bbc text.

The epg on the HD box is poor too compared to sky's

In fact the box in general is rubbish.Snail slow

You should be able to still view these on your old Sky box.

Good idea as red button on Sky/Freesat is excellent especially when BBC cover various sports. There is also plenty of other material e.g, Glastonbury/T in the Park via red button as well.
