    Hi folks,

    I spent a couple of hours yesterday gathering some papers which I'm trying to print today. I have now tried three different computers and every time I try to print one Adobe just crashes straight away.

    While I was searching around, some (possibly most) of the ones I came across were sort of locked so they couldn't be saved. I got aroudn this by printing them to pdf using a program called PrimoPDF. Are these files sort of "poisoned" to prevent me printing them?

    You mean like this? I'm afraid that has the same effect - Abode freezes instantly.

    were they pdfs to begin with?

    i'm not with you on the "sort of locked so they couldn't be saved" part

    Yes, they were all pdfs to begin with. But, the "save" icon was sometimes greyed out so I couldn't save the file to my hard drive directly. So I then printed them to pdf to create a file I could save. Does that make sense?

    EDIT: I actually can't print any pdf file at all - this makes no sense to me.

    OK, I sucessfully printed a .txt file and after that I could print the pdfs no problem.

    :confused::confused::confused:
