Hi Im 21,male and been driving my 94 corolla for a year now.I want to move away from the "boy racer"scene.I really like the newer 07/08 passats but they would be out of my budget.Im pretty set on diesel as my father always drove diesel and had few problems.I know it would be stark contrast to my modified corolla but what do ye think of this avensis.Looks flawless and a bit of a bargain for price maybe.Classy looking cars in fairness.http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/cars/2389320

    No
    .Classy looking cars in fairness.

    Disagree

Plenty of cars to choose from in that budget. Each to their own etc.

Looks ok. Clutches on those will be very heavy at that mileage, injectors can be iffy too. Its 8 years old so check everything.

I'd be looking for a service history (or all MOTs seeing as its a UK import) to prove mileage before going any further with it.

I'd also be inclined to check all panel fit on the near (passenger) side too. Its hard to tell from the photos but I'd be looking more closely at gaps and paint on that side if I was viewing.

At least 5 spelling mistakes......car not even parked outside someone's house.....back seats are manky.....smells of camp-fire TBH;).
Apart from that gear boxes do give trouble on these, as well as colm's previously mentioned warnings.
It really is gettting harder and harder to pick out a decent diesel-engined car......go on, buy a Prius;)
