in 1919 dail eireann was establised by a democratically elected parliament who represented the 32 counties of ireland. when the anglo irish treaty was put to vote only 26 counties voted on it excluding 6 counties. how did the treaty posess any legality if a portion of the island was already excluded from the vote yet all members of the 32 county dail voted on it ?

You could always ask the Supreme Court. Unless, of course, you don't recognise the Supreme Court since it's not the SC of a 32-county republic, in which case you could ask the SC of the 32-county republic for a judgement.

That might be tricky, since that republic doesn't exist. Which leaves you with a choice: you can deal with the fact, which the overwhelming majority came to terms with a very long time ago, that Ireland is, in fact, an independent country with its own judicial system; or you can appeal to the House of Lords if you don't think we're independent.

Let us know how you get on.

Afaik the 1919 Dail wasn't recognised in international law. Case closed.

Since 1948 when it was no longer a part of British Dominion, I would have thought.

Since none of the self-proclaimed Irish governments were recognized until the 1922 Anglo-Irish treaty, they hold no position in law. In the eyes of the law, the 32 county Dail wasn't a legal government. Even then, it was only a dominion of Britain and not wholly independent to make it's own choices.
