1st period after miscarraige

    Hi all,

On the 8th of this month I found out I miscarried at 7 weeks. I had already been bleeding for 2 weeks, so I probably lost the child at 6 weeks. Anyway... I bled for about 3 weeks total, and it has been about 3 weeks since then.

Recently, I have been having very bad cramps but no bleeding. I am a bit concerned simply because when I get pregnant (I have one child, and then the miscarriage) I get very bad cramps. I am wondering if I could be pregnant again so fast? Or is this a normal reaction?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi Rooboo,

First off, I'm sorry about your loss x

AFAIK, you can be very fertile after a miscarraige, so it is possible that you are pregnant again, but you should check with your doctor or hospital in case you have any underlying issues. Did you have a D&C? I would be worried about an infection.

I hope you get it sorted, and the best of luck in the future - my sister just had a baby last week at the age of 40, after 10 miscarraiges, so I have a good idea of the heartache involved.

Hi there I am sorry too to hear of your loss, I know what your going through as my first pregnancy ended in miscarriage and while I will never forget my first baby I went on to have three children and didnt suffer anymore miscarriages. I think you should go to your gp and have a checkup and get a better idea of what is happening to your body. Best of luck for now and the future.

Sorry to hear about your loss ruboo.
Firstly I won't act as if I know anything about your problem, but a trip to the GP just to clarify everything and have a check up sounds like the best advice in this scenario, just to be sure of everything.

    Hi ruboo.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer medical advice on this site. You should go to your doctor and discuss any concerns with them.

    Best wishes,
