    oh how the times have changed!

    we did an RDF stall at this show in 2007 or 2008

    we got a ton of recruits from it too

    and a load of airsofters complaining about how heavy the real guns are :)

    was great fun though, love to be in the situation where we could do it again.

    Best of luck with it.

    @morpheus,
    I was at that show and saw the RDF stand, which featured a prominent "No airsoft weapons beyond this point"sign and the amount of PDF/RDF guys in airsoft uniform was unbelievable, as well as the unforgettable remark from one RDF guy inside the display, to an airsofter outside, "what are you doing dressed as a Nazi? you're supposed to be in here!"
    regards

    Dunno what the airsoft reference has to do with the RDF that day, however I was working on the displays and I dont recall anyone dressed as a re-enactor or airsofter who shouldve been with us - from my unit at least.

    There WAS a group of airsofters made up of currently serving and ex RDF (dunno bout PDF on the day but i know PDF pers who play it) members from other units in dublin who we knew. I know RDF/PDF who like paintball too. they were all walking around dressed in US digital pattern multicam carrying US weapons etc.

    Obviously no replicas or replica airsoft weapons were allowed inside the stand as we had armed security on the site and we were displaying real active weapons.

    Deleted a few posts.

    I am aware that there was a split in organisations or personnel following the old "Salute" show of last year. There are now two, independent, different shows descended from the previous one. I don't care how you guys wish to categorise them. It's my position because this moderator couldn't give a hoot about your internal dissention or politics. Both are, in my eyes, legitimate shows of equal standing. I've gone over this before.

    So, if you belong to one show, don't slag the other, and vice versa. People of mutual interests tend to be better off supporting each other, not bickering.

    If they could be adults, and do that, there would still one united show! :rolleyes:

    Its the irish tradition. As soon as you get form something successful, a split is necessary.
