Thinking of upgrading soon, looking at something along the line of these

    but less milage or

    which looks too cheap...

Want aircon, leather, diesel, parking sensors, cruise control and a few gadgets. Will be doing 600km a week all motorway.

Would I be better off holding on til after the budget?
Will I get an '08 E60 for about €18k in the new year?
Heard the Accord 2.2 engine gives trouble(what,I don't know).

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

The only reason the E60 is cheap and the Accord is expensive is the Irish perception of motor tax. The Accord is on the new regime and tax is roughly €300 per year while the E60 is on the old cc based regime and tax is a whopping €600 :D

No brainer tbh, the E60 is a far superior car. Anyway what ever you buy, it will be pretty worthless by the time you come to sell it :)

Oh and why is no NCT mentioned on the E60. That's well dodgy. It should have been tested and it should come with the guts of 2 years test. If not, do not buy the car until it comes with test

I can see the asking prices are quoted with the "new" tax brackets in mind, the jump in price on the '08's is disproportionate, not only here but across the water too..
Won't be looking at that one,it's a CE reg:pac:(not really,I'm hoping for the '08 facelift model)

Got a spin in one recently, well impressed, fine wagon, just the Beemer/Accord is a nicer place to be imo.
