    Hi

I bought a classic army airsoft gun the other day and i no very little about airsoft so need some help on my battery
    My battery is a 9.6v 1200MAH.
It says in the manual to charge for no longer then 3 hours,
Which i did and after the three hours it went dead in about 10 mins and 3 mags (300 each).
So i looked it up online and it say to charge it several times for the three hours till it is warm, now that sounds odd to me but not sure.

Just dont want to end up cooking my battery as i cant afford a new one

Plz help as this is really pissing me off

    Thanks

    SeanSkyline

Is the gun new or second-hand ?

Its new, like i charged it for about 9 hours till it was warm in stages of 3 hours charge one hour rest and so on. and i have been told not to do that but when i do i get about 2800 rounds out of it which the manufacture says i should be getting.

But when i only charge it for 3 hours like everyone is telling me its only lasting about 800-1000 rounds.

    Whats right and whats wrong??

The first time you charge it you're supposed to charge it for longer (or so I was told) but after that it only needs to be charged til the battery gets warm or when your smart charger indicates its charged.

Hi sean if you charged your battery for 9 hours and it's still working you probably have a faulty charger. Take it back to where you bought it
p.s. dont tell them you charged the battery for 9 hours

    ehh would it be that???

Its a stock charger and battery that came with my gun, and all the sites online i could find said that you might need to charge your battery for 8 hours or even a day till the battery feels warm.

like in bursts of 3 hours followed by a break.
