Group buying cars?

My dad's on the lookout for a new van and browsing today he came across a link to this site - www.jargul.com

Having had a look at im wondering if it actually does work or what problems are you likely to encounter? €50 seems a small amount to pay if they could actually secure a decent discount for you, although I wonder how long you could actually be waiting to find a specific group of people interested in the same vehicle manufacturer as yourself.

Has anyone bought into the above or have any info on them or similar schemes?

There was a post shilling that site yesterday. Don't know anything about them but I'd be skeptical.

I went as far as where it looks for payment before doing anything - that's a big, big no no in my books.

Shame they couldn't give a quote first and take the €50 sourcing fee when they take payment for the car. Would make it seem a lot less like a scam.

Looking at the website, there is no phone number, no mailing address and no e-mail address, the only way you can communicate with them is to fill in a form and press a submit button.

What that means is that the people behind the endeavour are completely untraceable, they can take your money, shut down the website and disappear into the ether at the click of a mouse which will probably happen sooner rather than later.

    Don't walk, run.
