Need to know my rights - can anyone advise

    HI, I have worked for a particularly company for 12 years, retail business. I am in admin but have also helped in sales when the need arises..ie when other staff members in sales are busy and a customer is waiting. I was told on Monday that they wanted to reduce my working week to 3 days. I don't work weekends, another girl does this and she works both sales and admin. She is there 3 years. They offered her 3 days sales plus a day in admin. I kicked up over this and told them they could not offer a day in admin to someone who is there less time than me. They backed down on that one and have told me I can work 3 days a week plus Sunday. My question is this....am I entitled to be offered another day in sales and keep my full time position when there are 5 other staff members in sales who are there less time than me. Bearing in mind, sales staff work in admin when busy and admin work in sales when its busy. THey are trying to maintain that I am admin and that I cannot work in sales. Sorry if its all a bit confusing and thanks,

    Just to add, the 3 days plus the sunday is in admin not sales.

    You would want to see your union rep about this, They can't just cut your hours to be honest or move your days. I'm sure it's all there in your contract with them. Again see the union about it.
