Wondering if anyone knows anywhere in South Dublin that can spray a Alfa 147 door. Best price I have got is €180 + Vat but was hoping for cheaper.

Guess I was well of with my pricing. Does any one have recommendations. Would prefer to get it done properly and not a cheap ass job.

That is almost too cheap, make sure whoever is doing it blends the door into the surrounding panels.

What do you mean by blending it in to other panels?

No. I was hoping it would be cheaper than 180 before I had any idea what ball park figure for the job. Now I know that it is very cheap so would prefer to get the going rate to get a good job done and not a crap one.

If you paint just the damaged door there is every chance you will see a variance in colour against the panel next to it, either right away or over time. Like different pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. Therefore the painter fades the paint into the surrounding panels so the colour blends in far better. Its the only way to do it.

That'd be like me going to the cycling forum and say I need a new wheel for my bike, and the lads coming back with anything from 100-1000 for a wheel.

The op clearly hadn't the slightest notion how dear paint has gotten, so keep your rolleyes to yourself.

How do they do that? Do they sand the complete side of the car paint the door and blend paint into the side panels and relacquer the whole side?

Decided against buying the Alfa after I found out how much it costs to spray doors!

Got a Focus with some damage to the wing which I would like fixed depending on costs. Have attached a photo and any rough estimates would be appreciated!

Hardly a lot different to the price of painting the door:pac:
