Just giving this a first listen. I was expecting it to be pretty crap and it hasn't disappointed me.

Tiny Vipers - Life On Earth. Desolate and beautiful folk/sadcore from 2009.

    Spacemen 3 - Playing With Fire (1989)
My second favourite Spacemen 3 album after The Perfect Prescription. 'Revolution' and 'Suicide' blow my head every time.

Bit of a post-punk supergroup, Rowland S. Howard got some sound out his guitar, unmistakable.

    Townes Van Zandt - S/T (1969)

    townes+van+zandt+69+third+album.jpg

Townes' best album imo and a classic.

'Be Here To Love Me', the documentary is excellent too. The footage of him playing "Waiting Around To Die" in the old house is unreal (song starts at 4.15).

It would be really really useful if people actually included a bit of information about the album they are listening to and what they think of it instead of just posting the album cover. It would make the thread more interesting.

    For example, what is this?

    Seefeel - Quique (1993)
A very good collision of ambient electronica and dream-pop. It's mainly instrumental with some ethereal vocal samples but has a nice hazy, dreamy feel to it. A big influence on the likes of School Of Seven Bells and A Sunny Day In Glasgow.

Solo album of the Sigur Rós front man that i've only got around to listening to recently and I feel its a bit of a grower. Its my second listen. For me, Theres something simpler, more innocent than the band he fronts, which i've listened to for the best part of a decade, even with its moments of (quite lovely) grandioseness. Im liking it more and more. Sinking frienships and Tornado stand out for me so far.
