Who gets the Jag in the lotto?

Folks,

Just checked the lotto online and I only won €5. But it says underneath that Ive won a Jag. Didnt think it was for anyone else apart from the winner.

I think you'll find the rules of dibs now dictate that I get the jag I'd give them a ring, would be really sweet to win the car when you were thinking that you'd just get a €5'r. I'd imagine it's just for the winner but it is a car so I would make sure :pac:

It must be a glitch in their system, I matched 3+ the bonus and it's also saying I won the car in addition to the money.

I wonder if we took a screen print would they honour it? Winning the car would be flippin nice.

AFAIK you can take the cash instead of the car, just like the gameshows on TV with cars, holidays etc as prizes.
Most people will take the cash instead.

Took screen grab immediately and of course have sent an email.

Well looks like the bubble is burst. Site has changed this morning to show Ive only won €5. I still have the screen grab and am waiting on a reply to the email.

Although I more or less knew it couldnt be true I am ticked off now!

In last night’s Lotto Draw the Lotto Jackpot winner won an additional prize (as advertised) of a Jaguar XK Convertible worth €150,000 as it was a sole winning ticket.

Due to an error our website temporarily indicated that prize winners at every level won their regular cash prize plus a Jaguar XK Convertible worth €150,000, this is incorrect.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused to players because of this issue.

They have an astrix on the 'Your winning numbers*' which says that you need to contact them to double check your prize.

Just got the email from them. Seems a little rich though as its some shock to get when you check your numbers and youve won such a big prize. And then all you get is that crappy email from them.

Sure nothing will come of it anyway but I sent back an email to them saying that its a bit much and then to just send a standard reply to people who think theyve won.

i got the same notice nd and when i emailed i got the same stupid reply, "technical error" and apologies!!! bit of a stupid error to be honest!!! didnt hear what joe duffy had to say but think they said there would be no compo for people!! hhhhmmmmmm...... pity.... 150000 would be nice, ah sure id even settle for 150 :rolleyes:

Well I dont think its right. We checked online and using the iphone app and both said that we'd won. I checked at about 1am and this was the same. I took a screen grab of it as proof. How can they say that it was just an error when their system said I was a winner and I have proof?

I sent them the screen grab, didn't make a difference. Checked the t&c of the website...they're covered

The radio ads all week had been saying if a single person won the jackpot they would get a car as well. When I logged on I copped the error immediately and just thought "someone in IT in the Lottery will be lucky to keep their job over this" rather than had any illusion that I'd won a Jaguar as well as my fiver.

Course I knew in the back of the mind. But when that flashes up then you really do think. Especially when it comes up after numerous times checking it.
