I've started doing Starting Strength and was just wondering about recovery.

It's normally a 3-days per week routing but I was considering doing it every second day - as I've got my home gym set up.

My question is, is the 2-day rest session once a week of any great benefit or would one day rest periods between sessions be sufficient? I'm not sure if the 2-day periods are there because of physical benefits of 2-day rest periods or convenience of training on the same days every week.

    Google the phrase YNDTP.

    It is.
It might be, if you sleep and eat enough.
    Can't they be both?
